Scouting provides a structured series of age-appropriate obstacles and provides steps in overcoming them through the advancement method. Scouts plans their advancement and progress at their own pace as they meet each challenge. Scouts are rewarded for each achievement, which helps in gaining self-confidence. Pack 872 focuses on celebrating each Scout's achievements and recognizing the effort and committment involved in the advancement process.
